You will be driven to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the seven wonders of the world, which was constructed out of more than 2.6 million rock pieces, each weighing 50 tons. One of ancient Egypt's most well-known kings was King Cheops. He succeeded Cheops as the second king in the fourth family and was Sneferu's son. Sneferu had been the king before Cheops. No other king has achieved his level of notoriety.
King Chephren originally intended to build a pyramid larger than his father's pyramid of Cheops, but he chose to build one that was smaller out of respect for his father. He also built his pyramid on a higher plateau than his father's land.
The Great Sphinx of Giza is a statue depicting a fabled being with a lion's body and a human head that is located on the Giza Plateau on the West Bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The Sphinx also serves as the plateau's watchman. It is the largest sculpture that is known to be older.
The Valley Temple, which served as King Chephren's mortuary temple, is where we'll go next. Then, before going to downtown Cairo, you will eat lunch at a top-notch neighborhood restaurant.
The largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts in the entire world can be found at the Egyptian Museum, the oldest archaeological museum in the Middle East. A sizable collection from pre-captivity times to the Greek and Roman eras is on display at the museum.
The Hanging Church, the most well-known landmark in Coptic Cairo, is the Church of the Virgin Mary, also referred to by its nickname, the Hanging Church. Your guide will then take you to see the old Coptic Cairo portion of the tour, where you will be able to see it. The name of this structure derives from the fact that it was constructed on top of the southern wall of a Roman fortress in Babylon in the fourth century BC.
Additionally, the holy family used the church of St. Sergius as a refuge during their run from the Roman soldiers and King Herod. The Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is also thought to be the location where Baby Moses' box was discovered. It is regarded as a place of prayer for Jews.
Continue your tour with your tour guide as you begin the Islamic Cairo tours and spend time in the bustling Khan El Khalili Market, Egypt's most well-known ancient market and bazaar, where tourists can find authentic Egyptian souvenirs.
